Plenty to drink

It had been a while since I wrote a drinking song.  So our new Governor decided it was time I write another one.

Plenty to drink
copyright 2011 Dan Sullivan

Guv'nor Snyder of Michigan
Says we have to raise taxes on the citizens
'Cause he needs $1.5 billion
To give to his Chamber of Commerce friends

There's plenty to drink for everyone
And there'll be more where this came from
He's talking about shared sacrifice
The rich get whiskey and we get ice
The rich get whiskey and we get ice

Ol' Rick Snyder's got a clever plan
If anyone can make a dollar he can
He sold Gateway to a China man
Now he's pickin' my pocket in Michigan

There's plenty to drink for everyone
And there'll be more where this came from
He's talking about shared sacrifice
The rich get whiskey and we get ice
The rich get whiskey and we get ice

Teachers pay cut, the poor get sliced
Seniors get taxed on their pensions twice
Middle class getting squeezed in a vice
And here's the Governor's advice

There's plenty to drink for everyone
And there'll be more where this came from
He's talking about shared sacrifice
The rich get whiskey and we get ice
The rich get whiskey and we get ice

Yeah he's talkin' about shared sacrifice

  1. Dannie, that's a great video!!!! You look great in it!! Now hear-er (me) can see what the singer look like. hahahahaaaa Btw, you looked like you were singing from Hawaii. Dunno why, maybe just because the news this morning was reporting bad snowing in MI and yet you weren't hugging your guitar in a ski suit. hahahahaa :P

Now, talk about sharing. Sharing is when you share good things. Over here, they even teach that in pre-school and kindergarten. If you have a bag of candy, you share it with your friends. If you are having stomach flu, don't share it!!! Don't even bother coming to school!! hahahaahaa :P :P :P

  2. This guy is into sharing. This is how right wingers and the rich share things. We all get to drink. They get the whiskey and we get the ice. That's their idea of fairness. Some of them belong back in kindergarden. They obviously learned nothing when they were growing up.

Good thing I took the video in the house. It's cold outside!!!!! I started out trying to make a video of me singing the whole song, but the audio would never sync up with the video. My mouth was moving about 2 seconds behind the sound!!! And that was too weird.

  3. Next time record the song first, then make the video to match? How does it work anyway? hahahaa Or just act out the song.... which means you would have to get some whiskey and ice!!! :D

  4. I can hardly sing or play the guitar at all. And I'm worse acting!! So I better not act out my songs or I guarantee nobody will want to hear them. You're about the only one I can get to listen to them now! I don't want to drive YOU off. Ha ha ha.
